Frequently Asked Questions

Here we can attempt to answer some of the more common questions asked of our staff.

Q: Do you charge for use of credit cards and is there a minimum amount I have to spend?

A: As of August 1st, 2022 there will be a small surcharge of 50c on all card transactions. There is no minimum amount required. 

We would like to point out that we did not charge a single cent throughout the lockdowns/restrictions, but the increase in card use has resulted in us paying fees into the thousands. We have to offset this.

Q: What happened to Home Delivery?

A: Due to serious staff shortages, we were unable to maintain a service inline with the expectations of our customers. (This is the polite version). 

Q: Do you do Half-Half pizzas and is there an extra charge?

A: We do Half-Half pizzas on Large size only.  If both halves are from our Traditional range, then there is a $1 charge.  If both or either halves are from our Gourmet range it is $1.50 extra.  Please note whichever half is the most expensive is where we base the price on.

Q: Can I make alterations to my pizza and are there extra charges?

A: Yes we do alter pizzas on request.  Our pricing structure is as consistent as we can make it.  Adding Seafood or Chicken to any pizza will bring the price up considerably as expected.  Alternately, there are a lot of extras we don't charge for.  We will always let you know the final price after requests are made.  We also can make "Custom-Made" pizzas upon request, with a similar price structure.

Q: Can you do catering orders for parties and other functions?

A: Yes we can.  If we can be given as much notice as possible it would be appreciated.  If the order placed is large enough, we are more than happy to prepare it for pick-up or delivery outside our normal trading hours.  Best way to contact us for a large order would be to send an email to gourmetpizzapantry@hotmail.com and we will get back to you promptly.

Q: What are your options for Vegan, Gluten-Free or Lactose intolerant?

A: Let us know when you place an order and we can make your order accordingly.  Often we have requests for no cheese pizzas, so it's no problem.  We have Gluten-Free bases available in Regular size only and cost an additional $4.  We don't make theses bases ourselves, but by all accounts they are good.  Any other allergies please inform us when ordering, but we do advise people to check our menu diligently.

Q: Are our pizzas Halal or Kosher?

A: Although by default a lot of items provided by our suppliers are Halal certified, such as cheese - the short answer is "No".  We have a lot of pork products in and around our preparation areas constantly.

Q: Why aren't you on Menulog or Uber Eats?

A: We would rather go out of business than use these Globalist, WEF endorsed predators. Did you know they take 35% of the total bill and their drivers help themselves to a nibble of the food anyway? Incredibly, almost every shop in Gladesville signed up regardless and now the streets are flooded with halfwits on motorcycles and scooters.

When we did offer a delivery service, we always employed locals to deliver our food or did it ourselves.

Try and support local small businesses that have resisted the pressures these companies put on us to sign up. There isn't many - Oriental Star Chinese and us, I think?

Q: When will Gourmet Pizza Pantry move with the times and get an online ordering system in place?

A: An excellent question!  We have looked in to this, but we will keep things Old School and use the phone and counter orders.
